At SKYLAB3D, we sell professional 3D scanning, 3D printing, and related workflow equipment. Because many of our products are high-value business-use items, returns, exchanges, cancellations, and warranty support may vary by product category, manufacturer rules, and whether an item is standard-stock, special-order, or custom-configured. This policy explains the general rules that apply unless a product page or written quotation clearly states otherwise.
1. Contact Us First
Before requesting a return, cancellation, exchange, or reporting shipping damage, contact us at support@skylab3d.com with your order number, product name, and a brief description of the issue. We will provide the next steps and, when applicable, return instructions.
2. Order Cancellations Before Shipment
Orders may be cancelled for a full refund before the order has shipped unless the order is marked as special-order, custom, made-to-order, non-cancellable, or otherwise subject to supplier restrictions disclosed on the product page, quote, invoice, or order confirmation.
If payment has already been captured, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
3. Orders Already Shipped
Once an order has shipped, it is no longer considered a pre-shipment cancellation. Any approved return after shipment is handled under the return terms below and may be subject to:

return shipping charges;
-
shipping charges originally incurred by SKYLAB3D, if any;
-
manufacturer-imposed restocking fees;
-
inspection requirements; and
-
non-returnable exclusions.
4. Standard Return Eligibility
Unless a product page or written quote states otherwise, a return request for a standard-stock item must be submitted within 14 calendar days of delivery.
To be eligible for return, the item must:

be unused and in like-new condition;
-
include all original accessories, manuals, inserts, and packaging;

not be activated, registered, or damaged by the customer;
-
not be marked as final sale, non-returnable, custom, made-to-order, software, subscription, training, service, clearance, or special-order.
Return authorization must be obtained from SKYLAB3D before any item is sent back. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following are generally non-returnable and non-refundable once ordered, processed, or delivered, unless required by law or approved in writing by SKYLAB3D:

custom-configured or made-to-order equipment;
-
special-order items;
-
software licenses, digital products, downloadable content, activation codes, and subscriptions;
-
training, consulting, setup, installation, calibration, onboarding, or other service fees;
-
opened consumables, resins, materials, hygiene-sensitive items, and other items designated non-returnable;
-
items identified on the product page, quotation, invoice, or checkout as final sale or non-cancellable.
6. Restocking Fees
Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25% of the purchase price, depending on the manufacturer, product condition, and supplier policy. If a different restocking fee applies to a specific product, that product-specific policy or written quotation will control.
7. Return Shipping Costs
Unless the return is due to SKYLAB3D’s error or an item that arrived materially defective or damaged in transit, the customer is responsible for:

return shipping costs;
-
freight coordination costs;
-
insurance on the return shipment; and
-
any carrier surcharges, refused delivery fees, or re-consignment fees.
For high-value equipment, tracked and insured return shipping may be required.
8. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order promptly upon delivery.
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact support@skylab3d.com as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after delivery. Include:

your order number;
-
photos of the outer packaging;
-
photos of the product and any damage;
-
a brief description of the issue.
For freight shipments, note visible damage with the carrier at delivery whenever possible. Failure to report shipping damage promptly may affect the ability to file a carrier or insurance claim.
9. Exchange Requests
Exchanges are not guaranteed. If an exchange is approved, the customer may be responsible for price differences, shipping charges, return freight, and applicable restocking fees unless the exchange is due to SKYLAB3D’s error or a verified defect on arrival.
10. Refund Timing
After an approved return is received and inspected, any eligible refund will be processed to the original payment method. Please allow 5 to 10 business days after refund approval for processing, plus any additional time required by your bank or card issuer.
Original shipping charges, expedited shipping charges, white-glove fees, liftgate fees, installation fees, financing fees, and similar service charges are generally non-refundable unless required by law or caused by our error.
11. Refused Shipments
Refusing delivery does not automatically cancel an order or guarantee a full refund. Refused shipments may be treated as a return and may be subject to return shipping charges, carrier penalties, and restocking fees.
12. Warranty Support
Manufacturer warranties vary by brand and product. Warranty coverage details may appear on the product page or in manufacturer documentation. Warranty issues that arise after delivery are generally handled under the applicable manufacturer warranty process.
SKYLAB3D can help facilitate warranty support where appropriate, but manufacturer terms control warranty scope, coverage, exclusions, and repair or replacement decisions.
13. Chargebacks
If you believe there is a billing problem or order issue, contact us first at support@skylab3d.com so we can attempt to resolve it promptly. Filing a chargeback after receiving a product or service without first attempting resolution may delay support and review of the claim.
14. Product-Specific Policies Control
Because some products are shipped directly by manufacturers or are subject to brand-specific rules, a product page, written quotation, invoice, or signed sales agreement may contain additional or different return terms. Where there is a conflict, the more specific product-level or written policy will control.
